2023 in Review: projects, accomplishments, and making memories
Another year full of challenges and accomplishments has come to an end. It is the perfect time to reflect on our strong points and set goals for the future. Let’s dive into the significant events of Groupe Focus’s last year.
Camp Focus
The year 2023 was highlighted by an unforgettable celebration of our 30th anniversary with Camp Focus at Lake Sacacomie. Two days of fun, camaraderie, and creating lasting memories!
We combined business with pleasure: speeches from our leaders about strategic planning, work by department on our wins and losses, discussions on possibilities for improvement, teambuilding activities in the forest, festive dinner, and celebrating until the wee hours of the morning. We shared a lot of wonderful moments together!
First Installation of Teknion’s New Curved Walls
A major advancement in workspace innovation! We successfully installed Teknion’s new curved walls for our client Van Berkom. The result was quite impressive. Curved walls combine organic curves with a modern ambiance for a professional and dynamic look; just more evidence that this trend is growing in popularity and is here to stay!
5th Participation in the Annual 48-Hour Ride
Our commitment to Make-a-Wish reached new heights this year with record participation in the 48-Hour Ride. We are proud to announce that we were able to raise 25 350$!
We particularly want to thank the 18 members of our team who made this possible: Jason Kirk, Philippe Lemieux, Stéphane Lemieux, Stéphany Morin, Thomas Lemieux, Vincent Simon, Philippe Leroux, Alexandra Dubé, Caroline Simard, Catherine Lalonde, Chloe Ritchie, Maxime Lacombe, Véronique Bouchard, Catherine Langlois, Gabrielle Cloutier, Geneviève Blais, Jean-Simon Boucher, and Tanya Timperio. Beautiful Projects in Quebec City
This year, more than ever, we expanded our know-how with exciting projects for iXmédia, Le Groupe Vertdure et Therrien-Couture-Jolicoeur. CIt is an honor and a pleasure for us to share our expertise from one end of Highway 20 to the other!
Expansion of the Architectural Walls Department
Our architectural walls department grew exponentially this year. So much so, that we implemented a new team structure to better answer to our clients’ needs. We ended the year with a dedicated team of 12 professionals who can support you in every aspect of your wall layout projects: advising, planning, specification, worksite meetings, and installation.
Considering all the advantages of architectural walls, it is no surprise that more and more enterprises are choosing to adopt them.
Halloween Party
We organised our first Halloween Party, with bewitching cocktails, a great DJ, an electrifying dancefloor, a ton of candy, and much more! A big thank you to everyone who participated. It was definitely memorable! Should we organize this event again next year?
Transforming our Head Office
Our head office was transformed! We gave ourselves the gift of what we do best. Hello, new décor and trendy, resimercial style furniture!
We totally rethought the configuration of the first floor in order to follow the latest trends in office layout with the help of unassigned workstations and a large lounge area. New meeting rooms were also added to favor in-person and teleconference collaboration and exchanges. (Collaboration spaces are essential if you wish to innovate your offices.)
To optimize the regenerating aspect of our offices even more, we opted for biophilia. Our new offices now include a lot of plants and greenery in order to improve air quality and everyone’s wellbeing.
Corporate Photoshoot
After having refreshed our workspace, we thought we could take this opportunity to also refresh our image. The whole team was therefore invited to a photoshoot. Everyone who wished to participate got their moment in the spotlight.
The results are great! We are lucky to have a wonderful team and it was a pleasure to highlight them in this way.
